#FutureBridgeMining

4-5 May, 2023

Event Venue: H10 Marina Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain

About The Event

Mining is in the spotlight as the demand for minerals and metals is rising, prompting deeper mines and, as a result, challenging orebodies with a lower grade, increasing the costs of operations.
Encouraging a re-evaluation of mine planning and engineering strategies and the implementation of new methods and technologies during the drill & blast process is vital, as well as identifying practical and economically preferred pathways.
There is a need for improving productivity and maximization of mine site profits to increase return on capital investments.
Companies must address efficiency across operations in the mine-to-mill value chain. It is vital to avoid poor blast outputs that significantly influence downstream operations including loading, hauling, crushing, and processing. It is crucial to minimise drilling deviation, which can result in poor fragmentation, higher dilution, higher ore losses, low productivity, and
higher mining costs.

Efficient Mining Operations Summit is aimed at bringing together the senior decision-makers and practitioners from the
metals and mining industries for a two-day business networking event, scheduled for May 2023, in Barcelona, Spain. This
edition will shed light on strategies for the optimization of mine to mill process that reduce energy and costs in mining and
processing, maximize the performance of the mining operations, and subsequentially contribute to meeting or exceeding production targets. Scaling up effective drill & blast, which will set the pace for digging productivity, truck fill factors, crushing, recovery, and maintenance.

Roadmap to overcoming mining challenges of overbreak, dilution, production delays, the lack of excavation stability, and poor plant performance. Learn about the technologies such as digital twin and blast simulation, wireless detonators, nitrate-free explosives, automation of operations, AI, and ML. Optimization of productivity and extraction whilst reducing environmental footprint and operationalizing sustainability.

A 2-day hybrid event brings mining experts to discuss maximizing operation efficiency. Attendees hear keynotes, presentations, and case studies on mine planning, with networking breaks. Day 1 covers mine planning, cost reduction, proactive planning tools, and ends with a panel and reception. Day 2 covers blast design, difficult environments, vibration analysis, improving particle size distribution, and ends with a panel and cocktail reception.
